In the Rowling Hall lobby, you'll find check-in. We'll scan your ticket, compliment your outfit and get you settled in with a cup of coffee, courtesy of Texas Coffee Traders.
You can also sign up for a complimentary portrait with photographer Jessica Joseph, as well as grab a notepad set from our co-hosts at the Texas MSTC and MBA Programs.
After checking in, head to the Rowling Hall auditorium for a coffee keynote from Rosen Skincare founder Jamika Rose, followed by morning goal-mapping with Shana Rehwald from Me-est Me Journal.
Here, you’ll also plan out what you’d like to do for the day, too—from picking your sessions to finding your lunch spot.

⭑ 1.1 — MAKING ART + MAKING MONEY ⭑
Sometimes, your creative life can make your financial life a little messy. In this workshop, artist and coach Christine Garvey will walk you through your art and money blocks, as well as audit your creative satisfaction.
⭑ 1.2 — YOUR AUDIENCE, YOUR COMMUNITY AND YOU ⭑
In this session, Nicole Cardoza will explore the nuances (and differences between) monetizing your audience and building community! Over the course of an hour, you’ll learn how she has sustained projects like Anti-Racism Daily and Black Girl Magician through conscious relationship-building, frame-worked approaches to membership and content, as well as a commitment to her values.
⭑ 1.3 — VISIONING 101: SMALL BUSINESS STRATEGY ⭑
In this session, Sara Loretta of SYSTMS will show you how to use goal-mapping frameworks and Notion templates as a foundation for your creative business’ growth in 2023.
⭑ 1.4 — TIKTOK O’CLOCK ⭑
Are you an avid TikTok scroller, or maybe you have yet to see what it's all about for yourself? No need to fear! In this session with Reza Cristían, you’ll learn how to take your marketing strategy straight to the FYP—and maybe even land a viral video.
⭑ 1.5 — LANDMARKS ART TOUR ⭑
In this session led by Landmarks, you’ll take a tour through inspiring and engaging public art installations on the University of Texas campus, including works by Sarah Oppenheimer, James Turrell and Nancy Rubins.
⭑ 1.6 — SOUNDING BOARD SESSION ⭑
Not feeling like a workshop? Need to brainstorm an idea with like-minded minds? Opt out of workshops and head down to Rowling Hall’s Lounge (2nd Floor) to co-work and collaborate with other attendees. These sessions will be facilitated by Future Front’s Founding Director Jane Hervey and Womxn of Color Collective ATX Founder Diana Melendez.
During this break, you can head out for lunch in the area (click here for a list of recommendations). You can also use this time to co-work casually in the Rowling Hall Auditorium or on the 2nd Floor.

⭑ 2.1 — POWER POSITIONING & CREATIVE CAREERS ⭑
In this session, KICKINTHADOOR founder Dante Clemons will walk you through the core principles of Power Positioning. You’ll identify your core value propositions for resumes, interviews and negotiations in creative industry.
⭑ 2.2 — IRL VALUES IN A URL WORLD ⭑
In this session, licensed psychotherapist Marissa Rivera, LPC-S will take you through her values exploration system across four dimensions, including your digital life. Using lenses informed by existential psychology and neurobiology, you’ll map out ways to realign your relationship to both URL and IRL spaces.
⭑ 2.3 — FINANCIAL SELF-CARE: CREATIVE HOME-BUYING ⭑
Designed for creative types, this learning session is all about visioning your ideal space and mapping out a plan for home-ownership (alone or with friends!) that works best for you.
In this workshop, the team behind Open House Austin, will show you how they’ve used thoughtful financial self-care strategies to kick down barriers in home ownership and strategically transform different spaces in Austin and across Texas. You’ll spend the hour-long session gleaning a little inspiration and journaling out your own next steps.
⭑ 2.4 — BLANTON MUSEUM TOUR ⭑
Head to the Blanton Museum (two blocks away from Rowling Hall) for a WORK-only tour of Las Hermanas Iglesias, an installation in the Blanton’s Contemporary Project! You’ll also have an opportunity to free-draw in the Blanton’s galleries.
In order to attend this private tour, you will need to grab a $12 pass to the Blanton upon your arrival.
